The goal was to design a very compact and customized unit of MPS within a Container – without any compromises about precision, stability and long term reliability.
The unit contains 13 complex and partly high-dynamic power-supplies for magnets, which are installed within a system for proton-therapy.
The magnets are responsible for bending and focusing a proton-beam in a vacuum tube to provide those atomic particles for cancer treatment of patients.
Such a compact design offers our customer the possibility, to reduce time for installation and commissioning on-site significant.
Due to central position of interfaces and supply-connections, accompanying effort therefore is minimized and installation processes can be performed very effective.
The installed components are performed as “open frame devices” and are mounted directly on metal carriers of the container construction.
